Neoclassical Mahogany Card Table, probably Boston, c.1830
This table has a vibrantly figured Mahogany veneered top on solid mahogany leaves with a rosewood border. The apron is convex, also of highly figured mahogany with a gadrooned edging. This fully developed top is complemented with an exuberant column of the finest carving. The plinth upon which all rests is supported by four winged feet bearing their original rosettes.
