Tiger Maple Four-post Bed, New England, c.1820

This bed has robustly turned balluster shaped posts with ovoid shape finial and turned blanket roll. The headboard is of beautifully scalloped poplar, which was traditionally used for headboards in this form. This striking bed is in excellent condition with vigorously striped maple.
