Mahogany Sheraton style Settee, c.1890

This mahogany settee exhibits traditional federal shields connoted with New York and/or Baltimore styles. Additional carving on each splat is finely executed with each splat stylistically joined with an elongated lyre design. The arms are finely executed and the legs retaining their original casters.
