Louis XVI Gilt Bronze Mounted Mahogany Table a Ecrire, third quarter 19th century

This is a relatively rare form and exhibits fine castings throughout as well as beautiful luminous wood. The amboyna and mahogany retain a mellow antique glow that contrasts beautifully with the gilt swags and mounts used throughout. Mounts are used throughout this piece protecting all outside edge surfaces of the precious, carefully selected wood.
