Napolean III Gilt-mounted Ebonized and Brass Inlaid Games Table, third quarter, 19th century
This card table is defined by the use of curves, i.e. the serpentine apron and conforming top, which is edged with strong brass defining embellishment. The top is also embellished with fine brass inlay and the apron boasts a figural mount flanked by brass mountings throughout. This table is further complemented with cabriole legs, which are fully developed and also mounted with fine brass embellishments throughout.
