Pair of Mahogany Chinese Chippendale style End Tables

The Oriental motif was used during the 18th century especially in England and was found in some of the most elaborate Chippendale expressions. This motif is repeated in the above tables and is labeled "Kaplan Furniture Co, Cambridge, MA". The above pair was probably produced in the 1940’s and has wonderfully figured crotch mahogany on the tops with scalloped edging typical of the period.
