Chippendale style Mahogany Highboy of grand form
This elaborate highboy, while not terribly old, (25 years), is composed of solid mahogany throughout and exhibits fine hand-craftsmanship. This casepiece is a tour de force of the best of what one would find in this early 18th century period. The open-pierced carving of the broken arch pediment is superb. The ebonized accents at the corners of this piece, etc. are true English high style.
