Mahogany Neoclassical Sideboard, probably Boston, c.1830-1840.

This sideboard has a solid mahogany top and is defined by its carving, exuberant backsplash and selection of matched crotch mahogany. It retains a full complement of drawers supported by full carved columns. This server is composed of on its exterior of solid and figured veneer mahogany. Drawers are highly defined with crossbanding and careful veneer selection throughout make this a visual tour de force.
