This mahogany desk came out of a local Providence estate and exhibits beautiful solid mahogany with a swirl (see first photo) throughout. The beauty of this Boston form here is exhibited in the wonderful serpentine (oxbow) curves, which are molded from solid logs. The claw and ball feet are strongly sculptured. A closely related desk with similar interior is exhibited in Colonial Furniture in America, Lockwood.
