Mahogany Neoclassical Settee or Hall Sofa of Small Scale, c.1810.

This unusual settee with straight paneled back was probably used against the wall and is detailed with elegant reeded saber legs which terminate with stylized paw feet. The mahogany is a dark rich red-brown and came out of a local Providence estate, possibly not far from where it was made.
