Mahogany Queen Anne Style Dining Room Table, c.1880

Scroll down for 2 more photos

This dining room table uses the crank (long screw) method of opening and closing. While the opening and closing mechanism is rather tedious, this was fairly typical during the turn of the century and very effectively closes the table tightly. This table comes with one large leaf. The tabletop is of solid, highly figured mahogany retaining a warm highly polished patina.
