Mahogany Neoclassical Card Table, Providence, RI, c.1840

This table is a study in the use of highly figured mahogany working in different ways, i.e. the tabletop being crossbanded with figured mahogany; the edge of leaves using a different type of mahogany as well as the center panel of the apron making its own statement.
