Sheraton Mahogany Drop-front Secretary, Salem, c.1820.

The upper case is composed of a broken arch pediment above glazed arched doors. The lower case is designed with a drop front pull-our desk with large oval inset. Flanking the drawers, are reeded columns with finely carved eagles within a punchwork background. The eagles are finely carved and are reminiscent of the work of the McIntyre shop or contemporaries of equal rank indicative of Salem design.
