This chest is composed of solid cherrywood on all exterior surfaces: drawer fronts, sides, and top; and with full dustboards between each drawer, this is a solid, heavy chest. Decoration relies on inlay work and delicate line inlay is found on the two quarter columns, drawerfronts with canted corner design and the edge of the top with barber pole inlay.
