Georgian Inlaid Elm Chest-on-Chest, c.1790

This chest is embellished with fine inlay work on the cornice, above a frieze, which is additionally inlaid with a geometric motif. The upper case exhibits quarer columns flanking the drawers and is additionally inlaid. A nice feature to this chest-on-chest is the pair of jewelry drawers at the top of the lower section. Also, the bracket feet show an interesting stylized development.
