This fine benchmade China cabinet bears its original label by Nathan Margolis, dated 1913 with the name, also of its purchaser. This breakfront is one of the early pieces of Margolis, an immigrant cabinetmaker working in Hartford. The craftsmanship is of the finest quality and Margolis uses only 19th Century technique in the execution of this breakfront, i.e the backboard are all chamfered and only solid stock is used throughout. View all details below, including close-ups of well-crafted benchmade joinery. . Nathan Margolis' work was on exhibit at the Hartford Athenaeum.
