Mahogany Hepplewhite Bowed Front Chest of Drawers, c.1800

This chest is composed of four drawers with mahogany veneered fronts banded with holly and is supported on four French feet with a shaped skirt. The sides and top are faux painted to resemble mahogany and hold their initial old crackle surface. This casepiece retains its original brasses.
