This model is one of the more developed models with carved arms, which is rare, and is executed in a quality consistent with the best work of any New York shop. We feel this was done by Ernest Hagan, who ultimately inherited many of the patterns et al of the Phyfe workshop and then continued making Phyfe material well into the century as demand was always there.
