This corner chair has a very desirable horseshoe seat, which is pronounced through its front Cabriole leg. This is compared to another corner chair in our collection (sw01872) which has a simple square seat. This chair is composed of dark Caribbean mahogany and has an unusually shaped backsplat. A very similar related example from the Winterthur Museum appears below.
