A Fine Chippendale Mahogany Drop Leaf/Pembroke Table with Carved Bamboo Stretchers and Reeded Marlborough legs, c.1800-1810

DEACCESSIONED

This Pembroke table is composed of beautifully figured mahogany single board slabs which have, over time, developed a beautiful patina and depth.   The legs are reeded and chamfered in the back just above the square Marlborough foot.  The drawer has its original compartments and is a feature not found on many of these tables.  The X-shaped stretchers are carved in the form of bamboo rods that are blocked at their ends.  The brasses and lock are all of the period.

This is a substantial drop leaf/Pembroke table with no repairs or alterations.   We have French polished it.  It is all mounted on small brass casters.
