A Diminutive Pine & Butternut Tavern Table, Massachusetts, c.1760

This table came out of a small family auction in New York State, descended in the Wadsworth-Strong Family, Geneseo, NY.   It is very simple and tiny in size, fitting nicely next to a bed or chair.   Although stretchers on this type of table are typically worn through the years, those on this example remain in wonderful condition; its structural integrity is complete with its complete turned feet.  The top shows its historical life through the years, having an old scrub top, which has been waxed.
