An Exquisite Chippendale (George II) Mahogany Side Chair, England, c.1780

DEACCESSIONED

This is a chair of good size with bowed seat and superb carving throughout.  It’s of good weight, of the best dark, heavy mahogany, which is fully carved.  Note the carving on the front legs with the Marlboro cuffed feet.  The stiles are fluted and the open carved backsplat is of the best quality.

This chair is in superb condition.   It’s a wonderful side chair that’s comfortable with a gracious seat.
