This commanding mirror is a standout and has a beautiful surrounding frame with carved edges,  which is seldom seen.  At this period, the use of reverse paintings on top was no longer fashionable, and they were all of glass, which is original in this example.  The gilding has an old surface and is a fine example of its type.
