A Classical/Federal Figured Mahogany Worktable with Original Brasses, attributed to the Seymour Workshop, Boston, c.1820

DEACCESSIONED

This worktable has beautifully figured striped mahogany panels on all sides.   Note the use of tiger mahogany between the front drawers.  The legs are classic Seymour; see the related examples below.   The top is especially nice…it is composed of a single board of beautifully striped mahogany.  The Seymours were always noted for using the very finest of woods, and it certainly shows with the top and the paneled drawers.
