This chair, while not of the original period, is a successful reproduction of a high style original design, using hand crafted techniques, fine figured walnut, and a heavy appropriate fabric that remains in wonderful condition, ready for use.   The front legs are highly sculptural ball and claw carvings and extremely well executed, and the back legs are smartly chamfered.  This is a very successful reproduction of a well known period model that would sell for ten or twenty times the price we ask.
