An Outstanding Regency Mahogany Two-part Banquet Table, England, c.1810

This is a grand banquet table of one of the most successful forms in being a two part model with all separating into two smaller tables that can serve as side tables or smaller tables Additionally, there are leaves that bring it to 145 inches (or 12 ft. 1in.).

The mahogany is of the dense and very heavy dark Cuban/Island variety with beautiful figuring throughout.  These tables are very desirable, because one doesn’t have legs getting in the way, so seating arrangements can be as one wants.  There are no breaks or alterations.   It is in fine original condition, right down to the casters.
