Large School or Church Bell with Mounting Base, New England

DEACCESSIONED

This bell was in a Greek Revival home in a cupola in the Framingham – Sudbury area of Massachusetts, 1830-1850.  This bell is complete with supports and original mounting board and bolts.  The mounting frame is stamped “UK & C  3  A K N”.

It is rare to find these bells with the original wooden support base.   The sound is strong, clear, and wonderful.   It has no repairs or alterations.

Height (overall): 23 1/2 in.  Diameter at base: 17 1/2 in.
Board area: 35 1/2 in.  x 14 in.
