A Rare Classical / Federal Tiger Maple Drop Leaf Table, New England, c.1810

This form is almost always found in mahogany and is considered formal in nature, with its cut corner leaves and saber feet.   We have never seen one in the dramatic tiger maple wood as in this example. The condition is immaculate, with no repairs and an old surface.  The construction is first class with double leaf supports.

Height: 28 ½ in. Length: 36 ¾ in.
