A Beautiful Federal Mahogany Hepplewhite 2-part Banquet Table, probably Philadelphia, c.1790-1810

DEACCESSIONED

This table is in fabulous condition throughout, and is composed of magnificent solid unjoined mahogany boards exhibiting striking ribboned/figured mahogany.   The top board of the table are heavy, and are of dense Cuban mahogany.   The skirt has a very bright inlaid molding and the legs are of strong tapered proportions.

These two part tables are quite useful when space becomes a consideration.  Both of the ends can be placed against walls, providing a lovely demi-lune side table function.
