This mirror retains its magnificent gilt surface, the embellishments are superb, and the tall, vertical nature of the mirror makes it quite serviceable for a space with limited width, as it is 46 1/2 in. high and only 21 3/4 wide.

The mirrored glass itself is probably original and has an older slight blue cast indicating a mercury coating.  The putty blue surface around the mirror is original, and quite pleasing.

Decoratively, this style is highly desirable and makes a wonderful statement of refinement.
