A Rare Large Pedestal Mahogany Classical Harvest Table, Boston, c.1820

This is a truly exceptional table
with the most magnificent mahogany of outstanding length. The mahogany is all unjoined solid
boards. One should take a moment to
consider the size of the tree out of which the one main tabletop board could be
cut…and every inch of it a choice piece of figured mahogany. Mahogany tables of this form are rare, and the
pedestal form is not only highly desirable, but most useful when set up as we
don’t run in to the usual feet problem.
There are drawers on either side with original pulls. We have researched this table, which is
absolutely original in every respect, down to its casters. It makes for a great piece behind a sofa that
can be opened up for a dining table which seats 8 comfortably.
