A William & Mary Black/Green Painted Maple Tavern Table with Drawer, New England, c.1740-50

This
is a tavern table for the collector and/or user that wants the very best.  Usually, the bottom few inches of the feet
are worn off and replaced, but here, the original feet are preserved.   Also, drawers are very desirable, and most
of all, this tavern table retains much of its original paint.   The base has its original dark green with
traces of later black, and the top shows usage and wear through the years.

This
is anything but a refinished piece; it is a rare table in great condition, with
a single board top…another desirable feature.
This is about as good as these tables get.   See details.
