A Large Mahogany Regency Circular Pedestal Dining Room Table with Two Leaves, England, c.1825

This round dining room table is composed of beautifully
figured solid mahogany and relies on reeding at the edge of the top and top of
the legs. This table, when closed, has bold saber legs, and a central column.
When the table is opened, two hinged legs hidden below the top swing down and
are hooked in place with heavy brass supports, making this a very solid table.

At 60 inches wide, when the table is closed, it is a
table that can accommodate 6 people. When it is opened (see attached), it makes
for a full scale dining room table. This dining room table is a very desirable
form, and composed of magnificent ribbon grained mahogany throughout.
