This sofa is a tour de force of the best carving with quite individualistic carved design; for example, note the beautifully carved elements above the leg. Also interesting are the actual paw feet which have elements of leafage, and cornucopias with fruit above them. Further, the leg component is set apart from the upper portion of the sofa by a flat, scrolled, carved element, which offer a visual relief from all that happens above. The carved arms speak for themselves.
