A Queen Anne Mahogany Armchair on Cabriole Pad Feet, English, c.1760

This Queen Anne armchair is supported by well-formed cabriole feet, and note, the rear legs have a desirable stylish camber to them. The legs have had no splices or breaks and are in perfect condition, as is the rest of the chair. The arms are delicately formed, terminating in small carved scrolls. The splat has opened piercework, giving a light appearance to the chair. This chair is good sized and quite comfortable.  Queen Anne
armchairs, because the arms are rather delicate, are rare,
with a limited survival rate, so we are proud to offer this
chair, which is upholstered in a lovely embroidered fabric.
