Classical Mahogany Pembroke Table, c.1830

DEACCESSIONED

This table is composed of a solid mahogany top and leaves, all single board and unjoined.   It is rather small for its form and has a nicely shaped leaf edge above an apron which is flanked by corner blocks terminating in distinctive drop pendants.   The very practical turned  center pedestal is supported by four cabriole reeded legs having their original bun feet in lieu of casters, giving it a very stable function.
