Who Are We?
Having first advertised our gallery back in 1993, we were able to grow and perfect our collection of Classical and Colonial American furniture to the standards for which we were guided and mentored by Albert Sack, a great friend over the past 20 years of his life. After decades of study, expansion, and refinement of this collection, we would like to take this opportunity to announce the opening of the Stanley Weiss Center for the Study of American Classical Furniture.
Located in Providence, Rhode Island, the Center is a private nonprofit institution dedicated to the preservation, study, and appreciation of America’s finest furniture and decorative arts. Building upon decades of collecting by Stanley Weiss, the Center provides an environment where scholars, museums, collectors, students, designers, and the interested public can study exceptional works of American craftsmanship through direct observation and hands-on engagement.
We welcome inquiries from museums, universities, scholars, researchers, collectors, students, and members of the decorative arts community who wish to learn more about the Center, schedule a visit, discuss collaborative opportunities, or conduct research within the collection.
