A Classical Carved Mahogany Lyre Card Table, with Brass Inlay and Carved Paw Feet, New York City or Possibly Philadelphia, c.1810

This is a rare lyre card table; we have seen no others of this type. The carving on the Lyre is absolutely spectacular, and the shaping of the saber legs with brass inlaid shoulders is unusual. The carved paw feet are also a special feature. The figured mahogany is exceptional, and its condition is immaculate.
