DEACCESSIONED

Announcement!  This item will be available at auction from Neal Auction Company on January 26th, 2019.  Preview exhibition is currently underway.  Click here to see our listings at nealauction.com.

This striking Girandole is completely original with a strikingly
well-carved dynamic eagle holding a chain, all of which is supported by
deeply carved acanthus centering a dish with Classical lion’s head.

Please view the various
details below, in addition to the comparative eagles of this school.
Girandoles are the most desirable and engaging of the mirror forms, in
our opinion.

This mirror is completely original, with new gold leaf over much of the original, with its surface antiquity quite visual.
