This is a fairly good sized
mirror, 48 3/4″ high, and came out of the famous Bigelow Collection of
Boston and was part of the Elizabeth Daniel estate, Chapel Hill, North
Carolina. It was handled by Israel Sack, New York.
This mirror has been
magnificently regilted with an amazing amount of burnishing. Note the
rope moldings, and how they reflect light off the back of the frame. The
panel is one of the Grecian scenes that were done by Robert Welford and
appears in a number of other federal panels.

This mirror is a true standout and brilliant as if made of pure gold.
