A Diminutive Hepplewhite Inlaid Mahogany Sideboard/Server, England, c.1800

DEACCESSIONED

This server or sideboard is of a highly desirable small size. The top has a beautiful satinwood edge banding, which is further accented with ebony. The drawers are also of a beautifully figured mahogany which is embellished with ebony line inlay and satinwood edging. Flanked by the two drawers is a sliding tambor curtain for storage on the lower shelf of this sideboard. We have French polished this sideboard, and it is in a perfect state of condition with no replacements or alterations.

This sideboard makes a very smart and clean presentation with the circular line inlay on the two large end doors, each with its pull in the center and its contrasting satinwood/ebony edge banding surround.
