Rococo Marble-top Center Table with Serpentine Shaped Top, c.1850

DEACCESSIONED

Retaining its original shaped marble top above a crotch
grain mahogany apron, this table is supported on four French cabriole legs embellished
with exuberantly carved acanthus carving at the top of each leg, which terminate with a
traditional rococo scroll. These legs are cross-braced with elegant stretcher of
conforming curves, which meet and receive its original turned finial. This table retains
its original casters.
