Cherry and Birch Connecticut Candlestand, c.1820

DEACCESSIONED

This table retains its original surface and descended in the Chute family of Winchester, MA. The legs have a form characteristic of Connecticut furniture as does the large turned urn. The top is chamfered underneath at the edge, a refined technique not often seen in country furniture. While this candlestand is of heavy weight, its technical execution is superb.

Height: 29 in. – 40 in.   Width: 21 in.   Depth: 18 in.
